| Chianti and
surroundings - The Chianti, a land of rolling hills, olive
groves and vineyards is split between the provinces of Florence and
Siena. This area produces some of the country’s best marketed
wines. The picturesque SS222, known as the strada Chiantigiana, runs between Florence and Siena. Many explore Il Chianti by bicycle and it’s also gentle walking country. Greve is the first good base for exploring the area. Radda, reatains much of its charme despite the tourist influx and makes a good base for a couple of day’s walking. |
